Larry Knox’s earliest memories of Benbrook take place when both he and the town were much smaller than they are today. In fact, Larry was just a Little Leaguer who lived for each Saturday’s game. He recalls taking the gravel roads to his games, where, despite the town’s small size, Benbrook was known for fielding talented teams year in and year out.
Back Home Again
It’s amazing how much impact a memory like this can have on our lives. It surely has in Larry’s life. After he married his high school sweetheart, Becky, the two eventually settled down in Benbrook and raised their kids here. It was especially fulfilling for Larry the day he saw his kids playing T-ball on the same fields where he regularly ended up covered in brick dust and grass stains. “Being back in the community where I had so many fond memories was very special to me,” Larry says.
A Round-Trip Journey
However, as it often does, life threw Larry and Becky a curveball. Despite their love for Benbrook, their childrens’ schooling necessitated a move to Little Rock, where Larry opened his own construction company. They spent 12 years there before finally getting back to Fort Worth. But they soon realized that even life in Fort Worth wasn’t the same as being back home in Benbrook. Eventually, they returned to Benbrook and haven’t looked back since. Despite its growth, Benbrook remains the best place Larry and Becky could ever imagine living. “We know now after this long journey that we’ve found exactly where we need to be,” Becky says.
During their time in Fort Worth, Larry and Becky had joined forces in real estate and went on to open Knox Real Estate in 2004. With their move back home to Benbrook, they’re happier than ever helping others make the most of their real estate dollar in an area that means so much to them. You see, Larry and Becky view the home they bought in Benbrook in 1976 as the catalyst to all of their successes in life. They were young, but that one real estate investment set them on a path to prosperity, and they are dedicated to helping others do the same.
Connected to the Community
The reason Larry and Becky work so well together is because of their diverse personalities. Becky is more detail-oriented and brings a wealth of business and real estate experience to every transaction. She’s also a proud member of the Action Ambassador Group in the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce as well as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Fort Worth Board of REALTORS®. Larry brings a wealth of home construction knowledge to the team, as well as a strong network of contacts throughout the area that he’s built his entire life.
Perhaps most importantly, however, both Larry and Becky are committed to always putting their clients’ best interests first. It’s a caring approach instilled in Larry from a young age, and one that’s guided him to success in all of his professional endeavors. “I see people buying homes not just as a way for us to make a living, but as a chance to help them with the biggest investment in their life,” Larry says. “I know how important it is when I look back at us buying our first house and what a good investment that was. I know we would not have the same quality of life that we currently have if it weren’t for those real estate investments.”
